DTR: Not Conformed

For the next several weeks we will be looking at our Spiritual health. As Pastor Zack shared today,  transformation always takes place beginning with the heart. The key verse we would like for  you to meditate on is Romans 12:1-2 Offer yourself as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God... Do not conform to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. In Luke 15;11-24 Jesus shares  a story about a loving Father and his distant son. The Father never left, the son chose to leave. We all struggle at times to stay near to God. In Jeremiah 29;13-14  God said "When you get serious about finding me and want it more than anything else, I will turn things around for you."
1) What does getting serious with God look like in a person's life?  Are you serious about being close to God?
 2) Read Isaiah 59;2 and reflect on the many things that separate us from God. In Luke 15 the son's life was in chaos until he realized his sin separated him from his father. What chaos are you trying to manage in your life that you need to turn over to God?
3) God loves us unconditionally and is always waiting for us to come to Him. Like the loving father in Luke 15, knowing this,  what makes us hold back from getting closer to God?

My prayer for us this week is that we will be transformed in our relationship with God this week. Have a great week!!!                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      In Christ,                                                                                                           Chad
